Its CCA Bazaar today. So the CCAless people get to go home early. People like Shufen and me!So we were sitting at the busstop eating our mashed potato and japanese corn soup and we missed 3 buses because of that. So the fourth bus, 133 came along and we boarded it.
"Good afternoon ladies" the bus driver greeted us. We were rather amused and it was a pleasant surprise to be greeted by the bus driver. We thought that was all that he would do. But it was not to be.
" Relax relax, take your time, dont stand at the entrance or exit, wait for the bus to stop" the bus driver was telling the whole bus. So dear Shufen and I were sitting towards the front of the bus and we could hear what he was saying. So interesting la! The people at the back probabl could not hear what he was talking about, so a few of them were like "siao". But, whatever he was saying was logical and he is definitely not mad.
Throughout the whole journey, he was like doing live commentary about Singaporeans. "People always stand at the exit when the bus is moving and start dancing, break dance, pole dance..." was just the many things he said. Then to our utter amazement, he started speaking hokkien to this aunty who was about to get off the bus, asking her whether his bus journey was comfortable or something. And it turns out he can speak english, hokkien, malay and tamil!! (he is indian)
AND! Halfway through the journey, at a red light, he stood up and demonstrated how passengers dance at the pole while waiting for the bus to stop. My god!
Such a nice driver! Dozen times better than the china man i met, who quarrelled with me over 30 cents. This driver told the whole bus that he pays for his customers who happen to have empty ezlink cards and no coins!!!
Shufen was rather apprehensive about getting off the bus, incase he scolds us for "dancing at the pole" too. HAHAH!! but when we got off, he was like, "good bye ladies, study hard". And the best thing is that when he drove past, he actually horned and waved!!!!
This must be like a message from god! Telling me that there will be more to life...
